Damn winter still not over... I've wash my Corolla XRS and meet Seb for a short photoshoot but the Celica GT-Four was all dirty like it should. Seb Celica is still rolling and for now it's no more for sale, that a good news. Next time I'll post some pictures of the AE92 Corolla project, it's going really well !

The REAL final ride of 2011. We've made this ride to QC with friends of Team Élégant; Mike with his S13, Frank with the widebody S13.5 and Mathieu in his Interceptor. Like usual, J-F in his 180sx, Mat T with the MR2 and J-S in the Corolla XRS. Was a damn nice ride.

2011 is nearly over for us.What's better as fireworks provided by the MR2 and the 180sx to end the year. Note that no special modification are made on the cars to make backfires. On the right it's the MR2 and at the left it's the 180sx. We will make a LAST one ( for real this time ) of our ride to Quebec city. Well, take your pop-corn and enjoy the fireworks.

Kind of bad news. Seb have put the Celica for sale... he will have a little boy soon ! Mat T took those shots of the MR2 and the Celica GT-Four A. He just got new SSR wheels for the track to stop burning his rear Azenis like crazy. Hope you'll enjoy these 3S-GTE machines.

4 doors, rust, stiffer springs, Falken Azenis. These's rusty sedan was our first lapping car. We were broke but still wanted to enjoy a car on the track. With light modification and a lot of track time we've manage to drive these car at 100% and to push our own limit. The only one that still on the track is the immortal J-F Sentra ( near 400 000 with original engine... ! ) The Corolla was to J-S, but now it's the daily drive of Mat T. The Integra was the lapping car of Mat T and it still have a brake problem. Even if now we have more powerfull and better handling car, we miss our old sedan's.

Second session with the SundayCup, still a lot of fun on the track. J-S XRS was suffering from overheating due to the very high temperature. Quick fix: I've removed the front grill it really helped out! At the end of the day, my front brakes pads and tire where gone. Tire change is planed soon... I've decide to go again on the dyno, after my setup is really complete. What a suprise, my little 2ZZ-GE manage to get 169 WHP and 125 FT/LBS ! Damn good for a N/A 1.8L engine. I'm more then happy with these results.

After he plug's in a new ECU from Mine's and finish his intercooler water spray, it was time for a new dyno run. Unfortunately, the temperature was not on his side... it was waayyyy to hot so the engine could'nt perform well.

JF 180sx; Dyno Results !

We finally have them... the results of the JF 180sx ! The final setup with tuned ECU give 245whp with 249 lb/ft of torque. These are great result for the little T25 ! So what's next ?

J-F just finished the installation of it's Greddy in is 180sx last weekend. The engine bay look ton's better with all the new piping. Numbers will be out soon so stay tuned !

Really a bad day for Mat T. First, we were just about to start to ride, an coolant hose cut... After a quick repair, we were going on the highway and guess what... a fire was starting in the front trunk of the MR2 ! By chance, in the day J-F installed his fire extinguisher in is 180sx. Just in time, the fire was gone. It cause domage, but nothing that we can't repair. The next day, we've check everything and by a big luck, only 1 connector and the power steering module cover was domage. The fire was caused by a wire directly pluged on the fog lamp without a fuse to make DRL. Anyway, the MR2 is save thanks to J-F and J-S.

Seb GT-Four is back... again !

Seb Celica is back on the road... again. The bushings of two rear suspension arm where all gone, the car was undrivable! Finding bushing was near impossible, so with good contact he find someone to make custom bushings. We hope the car will be runing all summer long this time !

The XRS was ready, the MR2 as well. Was the time for a little ride around STH. With all the power up of the MR2, the XRS really can't follow :-(. But still, my top speed is higher haha. Was great to ear the loud sound of the 3SGTE and the SR20DET together. Enjoy the pictures !

JS Corolla XRS Transmission Swap

My transmission was grinding a little bit last summer... but at the start of the lapping season it began to grind like crazy ! So a transmission swap was a must. I've found a great deal on a used one, they are hard to find ! I'm really lucky 'cuz it shift like a new ! Was a pain to install it without a lift, thanks to Jim and Mat T we've finally manage to put it in the hole. Got some Redline MT-90 to help smooth shifting under high temperature and revolution. The XRS is back on the track !

Mat T Dyno Results !

The numbers are out ! All the upgrade give great results, a max of 220 WHP and 242 TRQ. The dyno sheet is the best run on all RPM range with the last run of the car before all the modifications. I've made a quick video of the best run on our local dyno, LDS Dyno. So what's next ?...

Update on the MR2

Everything is done on the engine bay finally. Was hell of a work to put all these parts in this tiny place. The car seem to run fine, got some ajustement to make but hey the big job is done. So there is the new mods for this summer:

- CXRacing Intercooler + Piping
- Blitz Blow-Off valve
- Custom made Blow-Off valve plate
- CXRacing Downpipe
- AEM Boost Controller gauge
- AEM Wideband gauge
- Boost cut at 15PSI

Yeah, that was a hard weekend. Mat T and Me ( JS ) began to install the parts on the MR2. It's really a pain to work on a MR car ! And we got an other job too... we got to resurrect the old green Corolla. Shit happen, the timing belt tensioner griped and the belt just burn on it. A great rubber mess. Anyway, the Corolla roll like a new ( well, for a beated up car. ) and the setup on the MR2 is going well. More update coming soon. Thanks Mat B for the great pictures - xxx -

Long time without a update, the spring begin to show it's face ! We are in progress of preparing our ride for the summer.

There is a little update of everyone;

J-S: In progress of cleaning everything, winter have been damn hard for my little XRS. Maybe something new... I'll see...

J-F: The crazy build of the 180sx is not over yet ! Finishing touch of the setup are on it's way.

Mat T: Maintenance and great power up will help the MR2.

Mat B: For now, Mat B will keep the FC and will rebuild it later. Need some money for it's wedding ;)

Seb: The GT-Four have some bushing problem for now. A new set of wheel for this summer, it really look like a WRC machine :P

Now that the season is over, there is some news of us...

JS: Still got his XRS, goin' to prepare it for winter... damn it.

JF: The build is finally over... the 180sx is going for sleep after it's long operation. The Sentra is still alive, but for now it's for sale ! His new daily drive is the Volvo 940 Turbo wagon.

Mat T: His MR2 still runing fine, next summer he hope he can afford some mod's. Kind of abandoned the Integra. The Corolla is making some weird noise, but it still running as his daily drive.

Mat B: The FC3S engine is death... last time Mat T and Mat B race together the rotary have shredded into pieces. The 180sx is alive and fullfil it's daily drive fonction.

Seb: The GT-Four will be ready for our tought winter. The AE92 project is completed, they drive it 2 session on the track before the clutch died.

After all summer of beatin' up the car is running fine. Next summer I'll probably got to replace the transmission, got a downshift issue on 2nd gear while racing. Mat T still don't beleive it when we race together... Yes, my 4 doors sedan Corolla 1.8L VVTL-i can catch up your sporty MR2 2.0L Turbo lol ;) For now, I'm preparing the car for our tought winter in Quebec ( yes, it's my winter/daily/summer/lapping car ). Still love this car, the sleeper look and the screaming sound of the 2ZZ-GE make me HARD everytime.

Yes !!! J-F 180sx is finally alive! It's engine run like a charm. The biggest step of his project is complete, now the engine is bulletproof. Stay tuned for the next step... We made a quick stop to the car wash to take some pictures of our rides. A guest was present, Jim with his '09 Toyota Corolla XRS lighty mod.

Finally... ! J-F 180sx update.

Rebuild of the engine is finally done on the 180sx, the engine is in place. It only leave some parts to reinstall, wire to connect and it will finally run ! After 1 LONG year... Got some pic of the new Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon too, his new daily drive. The Sentra is still alive, but it's racing life is over for now.

More update on the 180sx will follow this week.

After 1 month having it on my desk, i've decided to install my Hondata IMG... It was a damn pain to install it!! I've got some issue because the gasket is thicker than the OEM one. After a lot of job, it work great and belive it or not, it really cool down my intake manifold. I don't feel any power gain, but cooler air is always better !

This is one of the rare Mercedes-Benz 190e 2.3 16v ''Cosworth'' a real heritage from DTM witch is a detuned version of the original race 4 cylinder with dry sump, Kugelfisher fuel injection etc... I'll have the chance to see this gem at my job this week! More pic to come if I have the time.

New shock on the XRS

A little update on my XRS, i've got a blown shock so why not change them all. Got a brand new set of Tokico HP Blue. I'll be a great match with my H&R race ! In the same time i've repainted my caliper.

The Sentra is back on the track

After 1 year of only street driving I decide to put back my B15 sentra on the track. My 180sx is in a rebuild and rodage process, no way to do time attack with this car this summer. So first step is to strip the interior and remove the oem sound insulator and all the unwanted metal. After that, I've fabricated a front lip to lower the front bumper. Now it's time to attack the rear door. I will remove the door lock mecanism, the electric windows motors, cut the useless metal and made lexan window. I'll made a front splitter, make and installed front and rear tow hook, remove the seatbelt and seat release mecanism.

They have renforced the chassis as well, the custom roll cage will be made too ( in respect of the FIA regulation of course ). This little race car will be ready for next summer... Can't wait to see it in action !

JS XRS on dyno; a little bit disappointing...

Last summer, i've buy a Power Entreprise Camcon VVT-i / Air fuel controller. Since then, i've never really tune it. So I've go to the local dyno with Walter, one of the best tuner in the region. 1st run without Camcon, 151whp witch is a little bit lower then expected. Fujita claims with the SRI it should go around 160whp... Next, he have try different settings, the Air fuel was already well set by the stock ECU, so he have lightly tune it. It haven't made any change to the HP. Finally, he have tune the VVT-i, a little gain was here but nothing significant(154 WHP). I was hopping too mutch for all my little mods... At least i've try it !

Seb 1990 Toyota Corolla GT-S ( AE92 )

This is Seb and is brother-in-law lapping project. Powered by a 4AGE, the engine head come from the ex-AE86 of JF. For now it only have a 4-2-1 headers, performance air filter and performance muffler. It's stripped, ready to fit the custom roll cage. They will put a simple suspension setup with good brake to learn to drive on the race track.

Seb GT-Four is back !

Here it is ! The Celica GT-Four of Seb is back ! Now with an Celica GT-Four RC transmission and a Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit. The steering and rack have been rebuilded too ( it's a little bit hard to find a RHD steering and rack in Canada... ) After a s#!t load of money, it run again. There is the pictures, all dirty like a GT-Four should be. I've ad some more pic just before the tranny broke.
